Wishlisting turned Confession…
The boyfriend just called to tell me that one of his best friends is getting married and he has been asked to marry them. How exciting! He also asked if I’d be his date, “I don’t think you get to stand up there with me or anything..” I most definitely accept.
That brings the Summer 2009 [...]

Consumer Debt Sucks
Yeah, thats all I’ve got in me for a title this morning. Its true though, it really does. Mine stacks up in the form of plane tickets, premium denim and pretty dresses. Even scarier, I remember when I opened those cards, not long ago, and instead of a $20,000 limit, it was $2000. How they [...]

August Goals Revisited
I realize that August isn’t quite over – but I am feeling antsy and distracted this morning and need something to do while I finish my coffee.
Even though I have an insane day in front of me, a friend called last night to say that he was in town from LA. Dinner and a few [...]

More extra dough…
I picked up an extra shift Thursday at job #2 (this is unusual for me as I only list my availability as Friday, Saturday, Sunday). This means that Thursday I will be working 7:30-5pm at my “regular” job, booking it downtown to my other job, and then working until the event is over (usually about midnight)
…yikes. I’m [...]

Back to the Grind
The beep of my alarm at 6am this morning sure was a rude wake up call. A and I arrived home last night to unpack to a true Seattle welcome of pouring rain.
We had an amazing and relaxing time at the beach. The weather was glorious. I will try and get a couple of pictures [...]

Unexpected income!
So I’m talking to a friend of mine of google chat and….
Ella: Don’t you have a copy of OS X tiger you couldn’t use?
Yo: Yeah! At my parents house. I can’t believe you remember that!
Ella: I was at the apple store trying to figure out why my new ipod wasn’t working – and they [...]

Nutritious and Delicious
This week has been absolutely insane. I have a Microecon final today I’ve been trying to prepare for and A and I leave for the coast tomorrow morning (Early. Like, 5am and I am sooo sooo excited). He has been working long days this week so that we can escape the city, which means that [...]

condo dreaming
I would love looooove to live downtown in a condo I could call my own. It doesn’t have to be big or have a water view (although that would be awesome) it just has to be mine.
A friend of mine recently purchased a neat little one bedroom unit. 4th floor. Nice urban views out the [...]

sub accounts (remix)
Taking a look at my checking, sharebuilder and various other ING accounts, I decided to make a couple of (near) end of month changes.
Turn off automatic investing. I got real excited about sharebuilder buying stocks for me each month…it was starting to feel like shopping. I decided that for now, its probably better to leave [...]

grocery shopping vs take-out
I realize that title is making me look absolutely bonkers. You are all thinking…. obviously grocery shopping is going to save you more money. It wins.
At the beginning of the month, the boyfriend and I went over my budget and determined that once I pay everything I need to pay (rent, cell phone, $1000 to [...]
